That's me, not a daily blogger for sure. Anyhow, I'm currently getting ready to go to Art Basel, Miami with New Image Art. We'll be exhibiting at the Aqua Hotel in room #201 Dec.6-9, with a special preview on Dec.5. Do stop by!

busy-being.com

What website? Some may have noticed that the busy-being site has not changed much since umm...last year? Well, there are several contributing factors to this neglect one of them being that while some of you may have thought I was super technical and taking this e-commerce venture by the horns, alas I was not. I was merely a puppet while Ben has been the man behind the curtain, updating the site for the past 3 years! And all for a measly trade of products and/or dinners. Anyhow, the guilt, schedules, and the piling up of products was all too much. Not to mention I've also been working on back to back shows with New Image Art (gallery), growing a man, and having to come out the other side of relationship turmoil - which took it's own time, lemme tell ya.

Anyways, I'm just super stoked to tell you that it's all good. IT IS ALL GOOD! The site is fully mine now, I finally took the nece$$ary actions to have the back-end site idiot proofed so I can only blame myself for future neglect and/or other possible sabotage. (I'm so bloggin right now). I have a boatload of products - some of them are from holiday season last year that never got put up (shame!!), and I'm working away as I type this confessional. There will be a mass celebratory email when all is done.

BTW, so many of you love those Princess Tina Rain Cloud Necklaces & The Folk Face Cushion, so guess what? They're on their way in time for the holidays ('07 that is). They may even be sitting at the post office box right now! Shopping madness.

Oh and - The Mexico City show I am curating, formerly scheduled for November 2007 has been changed. It is now officially January 17, 2008! Get your passports and come join us at Proyectos Monclova for this! A solo show by Ashley Snow - she's a true ruler. More info in time.

Thanks for listening.

Date Farmers at Upper Playground (SF)

My mom and I went to check out the DF show on Saturday (if you're in town you should go!) and picked up this little dog who is up for adoption along the way. Her name is Steffie, we took her over to the gallery for a test-walk. She's dog browsing, Steffie's still available as far as I know. If you're interested I'll give you the name of her foster mom.

Friday morning drive-by

Still up in the Bay Area, went to visit my mom, saw this guy taking a stroll past the drive-way.

Hilarious - Aaron gets interviewed by the local news.

Our jumpsuit savior.

We run out of gas near Salinas and get picked up a farmer who happens to carry gasoline in his pick-up. He gives us enough to get us to the next station and there we get interviewed by the local news for a story about rising fuel prices. From LA to Salinas it cost about $12 in fuel.

Anyhow, we make it to the San Fran, our heads are vibrating. There's a million people at the RVCA show, to be expected. I'm stoked to see Phil, dear friend who is still working in the midst of it all.

See RVCA's trip blog.

Scooter Adventure: Wed. night - The Madonna Inn

This room is called Gypsy Rock. Rainbow-Brite meets Victorian Kona Island. I wish I had brought the camera to the restaurant, (even though these photos are crap - and that's equal parts frozen hands, using the first digital camera ever made, plus crappy skills) it was beyond amazing. I spared you the shot of the floral toilet but that light coming out of the rock is the entry to the Kona rock cave bathroom. Check those vertical blinds.

Scooter Adventure: Wednesday... ride or die

That's us.

That's also us.

La O.G. Flaca is in the house, personalized helmet et al. We meet up with the gang out in the valley, the support truck takes off before everyone while all the scooters are filling up. The other guys have brand new scooters and are hell on wheels for realz. They're doing burn-outs and donuts and driving 90mph. This baby tops out around 60mph and he's never driven a scooter on the freeway before, oh well. We're on the 101 North now, alone. Oh - and I left all my money the pocket of the jacket I had intended to wear which apparently was too long.

Scooter Adventure begins here

Meet up with Aaron for breakfast and a scooter ride. Everyone (many people) (myself included) are heading up to San Francisco for RVCA's “Family Tree” show on Thursday. I plan to fly up Thursday afternoon. "So when are you getting into SF?" I ask, "I might drive up on the scooter with a whole gang, you should come." It's on, we're leaving first thing in the morning.

A few hours later as I'm canceling the plane ticket he calls to tell me that several credible sources say it's a terrible idea, no passengers on the bike. I'm bummed but we decide to say f*ck it, we're doing this! Rough-riders WOOF! Besides, the whole ride is being sponsored by RVCA + Vespa we're totally safe, there'll be a support truck following right behind us and we'll be in a group of several other scooters riding alongside us...

when I came out all hell had broken loose

Back home

Stopped in for 20min to see a friend play a show

1st blog entry of all time

Angelo and I went with my dad to Death valley for the first time ever this weekend. It started off by sitting in 3hrs. of rush hour traffic before the actual 4hr. drive to get to D.V from LA. After about 1.5 hrs. my dad was loosing it and growled "I need a f**ing goddamn good drink when we get there!!" You get the picture? Anyhow, Death Valley itself was pretty breathtaking. The colors and vastness of the mountains are insane. I love the night skies when you're outside of the city. We went to a ghost-town too, that was pretty awesome. It was a good-time.
