Babushka dress

Tonight we tried out the Green Farmer's Market in Sherman Oaks - as in we had a Busy-Being booth there. We didn't sell a thing but the woman selling macaroons in the booth next to us said it was really slow and nobody seemed to be doing very well. We'll give it another shot in a week or two. I'll give y'all some warning so you can come out and hang with us next time.

This thing by Yves Saint Laurent is out of control.
Sonya's on a roll tonight. Somehow she manages to find the time to excavate the gems from the depths of the internet in between waiting tables and practicing Chinese medicine. Here's her future wedding dress.

UPDATE: The Sherman Oaks Farmer's Market has closed down, I guess you'll just have to come to the shows so we can hang. Have you knitted your own version of this dress yet? I want to see everyone on the street wearing this come Winter. I think it will really offset the looming doom and gloom of the state of the world right now. We all have to do our part. I'm working on mine.

Thanks Sonita!

This past weekend we had an opening for Neckface at New Image. It was a zoo and a good time as to be expected. More pics on Cobra Snake.

Still setting up.
At the opening...Here's Gilda (surf bunny)
Lenny & Me

Kime & Marsea
David & Camille
Marsea & Lizzard King

Marcee, Al, Kate, Lizzard, Ty
Megan & Somchi
Yuske & his doppleganger meeting for the first time (not Steve Aoki- either of them).

Katsuo Design

Yuske invited me down to his studio before he shipped out all his new work for his show at Beams (Japan) in a few weeks. (((sorry so blurrry, I'm losing my grip with this darn cell phone)))Niki, Frohawk Two-Feathers, and Yuske (aka Katsuo Design)

I love a good weave

Weaving is my new obsession (very obsessed). A few weeks ago I went to Massachusetts to take an intensive class, it was SUPER fantastique (with french accent).
Mihoko, my teacher and her family were kind enough to let me stay in their home while I learned. That's her husband Nat Needle who told me on the phone that when I arrived at the airport I would recognize him by his pants. I did.

There's a whole lotta story that goes with this weekend but I will have to get to it later. Angelo's waiting to use the computer.

Things between now & then
