Art Party this Friday Night!

We're having an opening at New Image Art this Friday from 7 to 10pm. 14 artists, a live performance by Mikki & the Mouses AND DJ Alph Alfa on the ones and two's (well, a boombox and a mixtape) - plus an after-party at Cha Cha (Silverlake) with special guest DJ's and some of your favorite art stars. Chinese crime 'Godmother' jailed

A woman described as the "Godmother" of the criminal underworld in the Chinese city of Chongqing has been sentenced to 18 years in jail and a large fine.

Thirty finalists will be reviewed by the public and a panel of qualified judges to include: Arianna Huffington, Aaron Rose, Jesse Dylan, Marshall Ganz, Robbie Conal, Arlene Holt Baker
