Off to Japan

We got home from Mexico and left for Japan the same evening. We have a bunch of family in Osaka and are here for a cousin's wedding. Tomorrow we go to Tokyo for a few days. Angelo, tired from his travels.
Japan is the land of all things cute and fantastic engrish.

Yelapa: Mexico

During mid-April Angelo and I took a little trip to Yelapa for a couple days via Puerto Vallarta. It's a tiny little place only accessible by boat, it was mainly a fishing village but has now become a popular spot for hippies and ex-pats living off the grid.

Huichol Indian crafts.
There were dolphins here a second ago. They're camera shy.
Welcome to Yelapa!
I'm thinking about it.

Walking through the jungle.
There is a tiny lizard hiding in this pic.

I met a hotdog in the jungle.

This guy makes all kinds of crafts and household items from the Dalbergia trees (rosewood) here.

A trip to Ikea with Julie

Ikea can really be one of the biggest energy and money zappers known to man. For some reason I agreed to keep Julie company on what was supposed to be her mission to buy a single night-stand. I ended up with a new couch, a tv stand, and a mattress pad.

Tiramisu with your sofa? I totally get why they have a cafe there but I still think it's weird.

Farmer's Market on Sunday

Went shopping at the Hollywood Farmer's market today and bumped into lots of friends, good food, good times.

And I even bumped into my little friend Isaac!
