Tragic news about PIXNIT

35 year-old Boston artist PIXNIT, has been missing since April 2nd, and is presumed dead. She was last seen April 2nd when filmed by a CCTV camera near Pont Alexandre in Paris, France. It is believed that she was on her way to meet other Parkour enthusiasts for a practice session.

Police believe PIXNIT was engaged in such activity near the Seine River and maintain she is missing and “presumed dead by misadventure”.  Although friends launched an extensive poster campaign and police searched with dogs, divers and from the air, her fate remains unknown.

My heart goes out to her family, such a loss.

  1. PIXNIT is an alt-identity of a well known artist in Boston. If an individual had passed away, the author of the obituary would have printed their actual name followed by the name (or pseudonym) of any persona they created in life. The artist is obviously retiring her alt-identity and moving on to a new body of work. This is a rather brilliant performance piece and a great play on artist identity.

  2. "A great play on artist identity" ??????
I doubt her uninformed family thought so. To them it was a cruel hoax.
